In a mythical land, touched only by the hand of god, a young, outcast dragonfly is guided through mishaps and adventures by her mentor, the magical Frogg. Daisy Dragonfly lives at the pond and yearns to fly free in the open spaces of the meadow. Frogg oversees the delicate balance of nature at the pond.
Daisy gets her chance when her species’ legend keeper, Frogg, sends her on a perilous journey through the forest to the meadow. The forest has come under spell of a Dark toad and is a dangerous place. She is accompanied by a story-telling cricket who has been chased from the meadow by the villainous ratty-haired cat, and is befriended by the meadow’s herald, Bertram, a nervous red-winged blackbird.
Daisy quickly finds herself engaged in adventures that will test her ability, courage, and character. A mighty warrior, skilled healer, and wise judge, Frog serves as a source of guidance and wisdom for Daisy during her journey.
A Dragonfly Tale by David Tennis introduces young readers to a variety of creatures and their habitats, engaging the imagination by transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
